On September 25th, 2025, an expert round table was held in the premises of the Troja Hotel. The subject of the round table “Blackout – a challenge of today” was an open discussion with representatives of TPEB members. The parallel to the CER directive and the current state of the formulation of criteria for the identification and designation of providers of essential services were mentioned. The importance and position of cybersecurity were discussed, including in connection with standardization (Mgr. Veselý, ČAS), the current response ability of electricity system operators (PhDr. Bílek, Ph.D. ČEPS) and the need for timely identification of the causes of the outbreak (Ing. Bajer, TTC Marconi). In conclusion, the current state of the legal environment and the possibility of TPEB members’ participation in solving other expected activities (Prof. Ing. Řehák, Ph.D. VŠB-TUO, FBI) were discussed.
Within the framework of this current topic, members of the executive JUDr. Richard Hlavatý, doc. PhDr. Vít Střítecký, M.Phil., PhD. and prof. Ing. Martin Hromada, Ph.D. presented the strategic framework for obtaining and incorporating TPEB ČR into projects within the Horizon Europe program scheme. Interest and efforts were declared for intensive involvement of TPEB ČR members and experts from related professional areas in the initiation and preparation of the future project period.
The program of the expert round table also included the presentation of the TPEB ČR Action Plan, which was developed in 2025 within the Critical Infrastructure Protection III project, within the call of the OP TAK Technology Platforms program. The Action Plan is publicly presented on the TPEB ČR website.
