The CERBERUS project is a novel platform that merges cutting-edge AI technologies utilizing a human-centric Multi-Agent System, an Explainable AI workflow, a Conversation AI assistant and a RAG module, to enable real-time threat detection, intelligent decision support, and coordinated response across sectors and borders through an advanced Command & Control module that enhance the overall situational awareness. The system directly supports the implementation of the CER Directive by providing to the CEs and MS authorities practical tools used to produce risk assessment, cross-border cooperation, and operational resilience. Its modular and scalable architecture ensures system’s adaptability to diverse CI environments, while maintaining a human oversight approach through transparent and auditable AI-driven recommendations. A shared Knowledge Hub and an Integrated Language Intelligence Layer further facilitate the seamless communication and collective learning among public/private stakeholders, aiming to deliver a genuine whole-of-society approach for protecting the EU's essential services.
